Day Camp Frequently Asked Questions Do you have a question? Contact us and you may get an answer. Q: What is a day camp? A: It's like a sleep away camp without the sleep away part. Except they occasionally do have overnights. Basically it's a glorified baby sitting service for city dwelling families that have enough money to pay young adults to watch their kids from 9 to 5. Q: Where does this comic take place? A: Our beautiful hometown of San Jose, CA. This will matter more if we ever get to field trips, which will show off some of the local attractions. Q: Is this based on true events? A: Sort of. Diligent fans will know that Alex and I met at a YMCA summer camp, which is the source of inspiration for this comic. It's based very loosely on real people and events, but mixed with a lot of made up stuff as well. Q: So these people really exist? A: Yup. Q: What do they think of the comic? A: I've never asked. Mostly I just hope they never find out about it. Q: It's been awhile since the last Day Camp, will there be more? A: Hopefully. Day Camp was essentially put on the back burner in favor of I'M FAMOUS!, but I would like to revisit it at some point.
